Hi there, I’m Sydney Morlan, the Social Media Manager and Health Coach at FORALL!
At FORALL, we understand that everyone’s journey to wellness has a unique starting point. Mine began about three years ago, amidst overcoming an eating disorder. This pivotal time in my life required me to focus on rebuilding muscle mass, reviving my metabolism, and restoring hormonal balance.
A significant part of my recovery journey was learning to reframe my mindset on food and exercise. Instead of seeing food as something I needed to earn, I retrained my brain to view it as incredible fuel that enables my body to do all the things I love—running, walking, cooking, coaching, traveling, and being my happiest self. Similarly, instead of viewing exercise as something I had to do to stay “fit,” I now see it as a way to boost my endorphins, energy, and longevity.
Amidst my recovery, I also began to dive into how to best fuel my body and found the incredible impact of a clean, high-protein diet. This dietary shift not only stabilized my blood sugar levels but also elevated my energy throughout the day, enabling me to reclaim a sense of vitality. I started to feel like Sydney again!
Navigating the complexities of an eating disorder is a challenge, and for me, a significant breakthrough came with the realization that nourishing my body with wholesome food was an essential aspect of healing. It became clear that food isn’t solely sustenance; it’s a fundamental component of vitality and resilience.
